A Day in Marseille
We arrived on schedule and docked at the New Port, an area which is pretty
much removed from the actual city. HAL had arranged for a shuttle to the Old
Port area which was about a 20 minute ride. The bus was comfortable and the
ride passed quickly.
Once in town, a walk around show a city with a mix of old and new. A transit
bus passed me that was electric powered by an overhead grid, something that
Atlanta did away with decades ago, but the bus itself was modern and
attractive. Traffic didn't seem too bad, with a mix of cars, busses,
scooters, and cyclists. I did notice that several areas seemed to be
undergoing renovations
I had a bright cool days with a slight overcast. The pictures are of the
town itself, both from within, and from the ship.
