Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland, United Kingdom

Today we entered Scotland. When I first got off, there was someone greeting us with a small sample of Scotch Whiskey. I did the polite thing and tried some. Very nice. A little bit later with friends from the ship, I got into a cab drive by John and took off to see the area nearby.
The first place we stopped was Newark Castle. The castle itself was very nice, I believe first constructed in the 1400's. Also the view from the castle over the River Clyde very nice.
We left the castle and roamed the area a bit. The countryside was very picturesque. We saw lots of open fields with mostly sheep. We also stopped at Loch Thom to take a few pictures.
The weather here was very comfortable. The sky here is beautiful.
A really good day in Greenock, Scotland!
